Analysts and the World Economy Summit 2025 in Washington D.C.

April 27, 2025

The World Economy Summit 2025, hosted by Semafor from April 23–25 in Washington, D.C., and attended by the Center for Support of Civic and Political Strategies representatives, convened over 200 global CEOs, U.S. Cabinet officials, and international policymakers for a pivotal three-day dialogue on the future of the global economy. Coinciding with the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings, the summit provided a platform for high-level discussions on trade, technology, energy, and geopolitical strategy.

Co-chaired by David Rubenstein (The Carlyle Group), Ken Griffin (Citadel), Henry Kravis (KKR), and former U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, the event featured a distinguished advisory board including Dr. Albert Bourla (Pfizer), Rich Lesser (Boston Consulting Group), and Aliko Dangote (Dangote Group).

Notable speakers included U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, who addressed the administration’s economic agenda and its implications for global markets. International voices such as German Finance Minister Jörg Kukies and UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves emphasized the urgency of reducing trade uncertainties to foster economic stability.

The summit also spotlighted technological innovation, with sessions on artificial intelligence and the next tech revolution featuring industry leaders like Dara Khosrowshahi (Uber), Adena Friedman (Nasdaq), and Salil Parekh (Infosys).

With over 5,000 attendees, the World Economy Summit 2025 underscored the importance of collaborative leadership in navigating the complexities of the global economy. The event fostered meaningful dialogue between the public and private sectors, aiming to drive actionable solutions for sustainable growth and resilience.

The World Economy Summit 2025 offered a vital platform to engage with the shifting realities of our interconnected world. As participants, the Center for Global Civic and Political Strategies recognizes how crucial it is to stay attuned to emerging geopolitical trends and the accelerating pace of technological innovation.

Today, the ability to marry technology and resource management is not just an advantage — it is essential for restructuring and future-proofing global supply chains. The conversations we witnessed confirmed that the future economy will belong to those who can adapt quickly, collaborate across sectors, and leverage both human and technological capital wisely.

We are committed to continuing our work at the intersection of civic strategy, global policy, and innovation, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of these critical transformations.
