The Center for Global Civic and Political Strategies is honored to participate in the B5+1 Forum 2026, taking place on February 4–5, 2026, in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in cooperation with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic under the Improving the Business Environment in Central Asia (IBECA) program supported by the U.S. Department of State.
Building on the momentum of the inaugural B5+1 Forum held in Almaty in 2024 and the historic C5+1 Leaders’ Summit in 2025, the 2026 Forum represents an important step toward strengthening economic cooperation between the five Central Asian countries and the United States. The platform has evolved into a long-term mechanism promoting regional economic integration, improving business climates, and advancing public-private dialogue across key sectors.
The Forum brings together policymakers, private sector leaders, business associations, and international partners to address critical challenges and opportunities in agriculture, finance and banking, critical minerals, e-commerce and IT, tourism, and transport and logistics. Through regional task forces and structured dialogue sessions, the Forum aims to develop practical policy recommendations and secure commitments to improve the business environment across Central Asia.
During the Forum, the Center for Global Civic and Political Strategies is actively contributing to discussions on strengthening Central Asia–U.S. economic cooperation and transparency in regional business practices. Our organization is raising several strategic issues, including the importance of advancing trade relations through the repeal of legacy trade restrictions such as the Jackson-Vanik amendment, exploring opportunities for tariff facilitation, and promoting compliance with international sanctions regimes through enhanced due diligence and transparency mechanisms.
We are also contributing to dialogue on sectoral cooperation, including regional energy development, transportation connectivity through the Trans-Caspian corridor, and expanding opportunities for Western investment in emerging industries such as small modular nuclear reactors and critical mineral supply chains. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of transparent customs data, anti-corruption safeguards, and responsible trade practices to ensure sustainable regional growth.
The B5+1 Forum continues to strengthen cooperation between governments and the private sector, helping shape policies that support investment, innovation, and regional stability. The Center for Global Civic and Political Strategies remains committed to supporting constructive dialogue and advancing reforms that promote economic development and responsible governance across Central Asia.
